I'd been looking for some technical hiking pants for a 6-day trek and these seemed perfect. I liked how feature-laden they were--hooks for laces, leg vents, articulation, elastic waist--and ordered two pair. I'm 5'10", 163lbs and usually wear a 31 or 32, with a 31 inseam. (Fjallraven's 46R fit me perfectly.) Though the pants seemed well-made and fit well at the waist, the inseam is at least a 34, if not longer, which was dissapointing. It's not just a matter of the pants bunching up around the foot, but the knee articulation itself hit below my knees, therefore defeating the purpose. Too bad, as I really liked the pants! I hope the company choses to provide different inseams in the future, as I'd seriously consider buying them again.I normally were size 34 waste so I ordered large & they fit so perfectly I don't need a belt unless I'm carrying a lot. I haven't had these long so I'm not sure about durability, but they seem to be high quality. Many compliments, they look great & feel great! I will be ordering more soon. When looking up your size fit, pay attention ?These pants are great value for money, even better if you pick them up in a sale, but the measurements are interesting. I found to fit my waist which I confess could be smaller at 34-36", the leg length is a little long. This wasn't a problem for me as I will probably use them when riding my motorcycle amongst other activities and extra length is good when tucking my legs up.Beyond that, there's little else to say. Well made, durable and the product videos do not lie.I ordered a medium and they fit great. I usually order small (I’m a 30x30) but my buddy told me they ran tight. I bought them for doing tree work in hot weather. They’re great from the shin up- but the cuffs/ankle openings are tiny and wouldn’t fit over my boots at all. I’m not sure what kind of boots they tested these with, but I wear a pretty standard hiking style work boot by red wing and it’s a no go. I have 3 other co workers who’ve bought them and had the same issue. I ended up cutting the cuffs up to make them work. These things are built like a tank. Definitely not you’re cheaply-made stuff from elsewhere overseas. Seams are strong and well-stitched, material is a good combo of lightweight material and cordura on high-wear areas. Zippers pulls, pockets, and adjustable cuffs are nice. Even the belt loops, buttons, and waist are built well. The only issue I had was the fit.. I’m 5’10”, 200 pounds with a muscular build and usually wear a size 34/35 waist. Amazon recommended I order an XL, so I did. They fit great around the waist and the length was good. However, they were very tight around the thighs and seat and through the crotch which would probably limit mobility, so I’m going to exchange them for an XXL. If you have chicken-legs, go with the XL. Sizing guidelines appear to be more of the European model. Hoping the XXL remedies this issue, because these are some really friggin’ nice hiking pants.I'm 5'6" 165 lbs athletic build, big(ish) butt and thighs. I normally wear 32 waist / 30 inseam jeans, so I was expecting the problem to be the long length noted in some of the other reviews (I was prepared to shorten them, as I do with most of my pants...).I tried a size Medium. However, the length was actually not bad, but I'm returning them because of the fit in the thigh area. The thighs (quads) are just too tight. Yes, I can move ok, but literally not a mm to spare. That's not how I like them to fit. With the vent zippers open, the fit is nearly perfect... but I don't want to always have the vents open.Fit of the waist was perfect - a tiny bit snug, but that would inevitably loosen up, and the elastic alleviates any issues. It feels like a 31 or 31.5, but with elastic so it's ok.Otherwise, upon first impression, the materials, construction, and design seem awesome. They seem light, tough in the right places, and flexible in the right places. I was looking for an alternative to Fjallraven Keb, and these were SOOOO CLOSE... but not quite due to the narrow thighs. Too bad.If you have more normal sized thighs (and not a background in weightlifting), these might work great for you.I will be doing a 32 mile through hike in the coming weeks, so will put the pants to the test.... hope to remember to update the review at that time. They claim durable, but honestly the "doubled" layers are about the thickness you would expect of a normal single layer, with the single layer on these pants being VERY thin. I question how well they will hold up.The vents on the side seem to be mostly pointless as there is a very thick mesh material in there. I opened them up and barely feel a fan blowing directly at them. I doubt they will have any benefit in heat reduction. The sizing is fine... if you love skinny jeans or tights. I'm 210, 6'4" and the XL cut off circulation. I've ordered a number of european sizes in 54 (which the XL's match to). The 2XL I ordered (56) is skin tight, substantially tighter than 52 that I've ordered of other sides. Definitely go up a size or to at minimum.Last but not least, the attention to detail was questionable at best. There were a dozen or so loose threads in the bag and on the pants. As well, there were lots of threads i had to cut off that were too long.Overall... small, questionable durability, quality control is somewhat lacking..... and spending just a little more could potentially get you a much better designed and built pair of pants. Again, I will try to post up an update should I actually be surprised (seems unlikely) on how well they work.Way too small-tight fitting. Also, the leg is too long? Not sure what type of body type they’re designed for but it’s not the average joe. 36w is meant to be a large but more like a 34w, so a 36 would be a XL but the other issue is the length. They are very long and clumped up at the bottom, so you need to be 28w and 7ft tall model to fit into these trousers. Shame because they seem good quality and looks nice.I'm used to Montane Terra or Mission pants (having used for mountaineering and search and rescue activities in the past) but saw these in some social media videos (not adverts) and looked at for a little while before ordering. I was hesitant at first; as they were unknown to me and quite a high price considering.BUT having received these I'm very very impressed. The fit beautifully, they don't hang, rub, or move when bending / kneeling (like old 95 combat trouses do - for those that remember). They are a harder material that I'm used to from mountain trousers but for me I'm actually really glad, as it seams that these have multiple use and I'm not going to panic about ripping holes when crossing the unmaintained style or fence.I'm already looking at trying a jacket, AGAIN I'm normally very particular about these too as from past experience I've had to use only the best as life really did rely on them... So will let you knowDie 2te Hose von Revolution Race. Originally purchased a camouflage pair for airsoft as i was tearing my trousers in the thigh area and movement was generally quite restrictive. SUPER flexible in all the right places with triple stitching on the different materials. Colours faded marginally in the wash but thats largely my own fault. Space for 'standard' kneepad inserts which are difficult, but not impossible, to insert.Ended up wearing them more and more as general trousers. Wasn't long before i was wearing them pretty much every day.Grabbed up a second pair on Prime day. Would highly recommend.I did a lot of investigation on this and other products and was in two minds to purchase due to a few bad reviews. Mainly the reviews was directed at buying direct and with customer service. I would like to add I am happy that I decided to give purchase the hiking trouser and they are as I expected. Good quality and what I need.
